Also, note to self: having a sun in the sky doesn't work when the sky is completely blank. Unless you're in the Microcosm (or, subsequently, the Twighlight Zone). In which case its par for the course.

well, you know, technically the sky is colorless. it's just the atmosphere that works like a prism to make blue. does that mean that there's no atmosphere here? how do people breathe?!

Could simply be pollution creating a white haze in the sky thus blocking out the blue hues in the sky.
Being a resident of this place has allowed me to see many such days.
